FAQ

  • HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHICH PRODUCTS TO REVIEW?

My reviews are a collection of items I picked up while on shopping, found on the Internet or was provided by a brand to review in exchange for product or compensation. All sponsored reviews (paid and unpaid) will always be disclosed on the blog post as well as on all social media posts.

  • DO YOU BLOG FULL TIME?

The only thing full-time about this blog is the bill I get every month for the domain. LOL

  • WHAT KIND OF CAMERA DO YOU USE?

While I do own a Nikon D5300 with a Nikon AF-S DX VR Nikkor 18-55mm lens, I shoot almost all my content on my iPhone 13 Pro.

  • HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BLOGGING, AND WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START?

To be honest, I have been blogging in general since high school (circa: 2002) and kept up with it across platforms like Blogger, LiveJournal, Zanga, etc. all the way through college. I started to try to get into niche blogging in 2008 when I started working in cosmetics at Macy’s but this is WELL before people knew how to make money on the Internet and my skills and resources were minimal.

I decided to give it a try again, this time armed with WAY more resources (and money and makeup). I am still trying to find my space but have always loved sharing my fave products and teaching my friends new things and this just seemed like the best way to go about it.

  • DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR NEW BLOGGERS?

As annoying as it sounds, practice makes perfect and consistency is key.

I am only as good as the templates, checklists, and automation I have access to. I get overwhelmed by tasks and my creative process sometimes that I capture content and then fail to put it together unless it’s a paid opportunity.

Be patient with yourself. It is easy to beat yourself up when you set expectations for what success looks like but remember that sometimes things are not under your control and you just have to trust the process.

That said, I do have a list of Creator Resources that hopefully is helpful!
