Enjoy Resort Quality Chill on a Budget
My friend Sadé came to visit me a few months back and we wanted to enjoy some time in the sun of Arizona. Well, for anyone who has never been here before, we have TONS of resorts...and all the sun. ALL OF IT. Dae is from Queens but she def has more class than I do and wanted to add some pre-summer fun by a pool to our chill time.
After looking and calling a few resorts who wanted all our coins for a day pass, we did some google searching and stumbled upon this website called, ResortPass.com. (We may be late to the party, but just in case...)
Now let me tell you...we were just looking for a discount code or something. We had no idea that we would happen upon major DEALS. Resort Pass is partnered with some of the largest hotel brands to provide discounts for day passes, cabanas or spa treatment. And booking is as easy as it sounds. You pick your resort and type of passes you want to purchase, pick your dates (up to 10 weeks in advance), and show up and enjoy all that resort life has to offer!
Available in the following cities:
Now I am not gonna lie. There was a part of me that was convinced I just gave away some money to some random website and we are gonna get all the way to our destination and have to come up with some funds to enjoy...but I was prepared (lol). It actually went just as smooth as the website describes the process and I cannot wait to utilize it again! But let's talk about it a little further...
The Wigwam, Litchfield Park, AZ
There are two pools on-site, the Oasis Pool and the Tower Pool. We spent our time at the Oasis Pool, which is tucked away from a lot of the hustle and bustle of the resort and allowed for plenty of quiet time and relaxation.
The Tower Pool features:
- A kids fun zone with a 25-foot tower, two waterslides, a splash pad
- 11 private cabanas and Jacuzzis.
The Oasis Pool features:
Cabanas, furnishings and umbrellas
Big screen TV at the bar area
Adults Only Friday-Sunday (Memorial Day - Labor Day)
The resort itself has TONS of amenities to curb your boredom, including:
- 54 holes of championship golf
- Nine lighted, paved tennis courts
- Fitness Center
- Two custom built, regulation bocce ball courts
- Sand volleyball court
- Bike rentals
- Yard games.
- Dining options include Red’s Bar & Grill, The Wigwam Bar, and The Tower Pool Bar & Grill.
At first I was not sure we drove to the right place because the resort felt like it was located in the middle of a residential neighborhood. I mean like, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE. We made the turn into the resort nonetheless and were greeted with beautiful palm trees and the smiling grim of a staff member who was the valet, who took care of parking our vehicle (which is complimentary, I might add).
We walk inside to the front desk and spoke with two lovely women who took our names and made us a key card, provided us with a map of the property, the hours and the Wi-Fi password.
We made our way around to the Oasis Pool which was said to be the quieter pool and that it was! There were literally only a handful of people at the pool, most were lounging in their pool chairs and the sounds of the tranquil waterfall feature was all you could really hear.
We spent only a few hours at the resort but it as very peaceful. The jacuzzi was in use the entire time so we did not make it there and since the restaurants were on the other side of the resort we did not venture that way. We made other arrangements to grab food after snacking our way through our lounge session. All in all, very clean, lovely landscaping and design with lovely staff members. I can't wait to go back!
